I came from Hong Kong originally. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a master's degree in school counseling. While studying at UMass Amherst, I worked in the Disability Services office as an academic access assistant to tutor and teach study skills to college students with special needs. I also volunteered in the Garden, a non-profit center for grieving children and teens. After graduation, I worked as a guidance counselor in Easthampton High School in Massachusetts for one year after being an intern there. I am a licensed guidance counselor in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. After moving to Connecticut, I worked for the Yale Bridgeport GEAR UP as an academic advisor before joining Fairchild Wheeler as a guidance counselor.
I have two children, Sage (6 years old) and Sophia (2 1/2 years old). I speak both Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. |
